"Come now Hanabi! Don't tell me your too slow to deal with an old man like myself?"
His goading would work as the Hyuga child rushed toward the elder Hyuga with palms open ready to strike. This was nothing out of the ordinary; her caretaker and Grandfather had started these spars between the two since she was six years old. At first it was a nigh impossible task to be told to fight with the attempt to hurt your own grandfather! Of course in time with enough push from the man she'd follow with the plan and thus begin this new tradition between the two. As of now she had a 1:8 ratio of beating her Grandfather in a spar, he may of been old but he was still in amazing health and perfectly limber to hold his own against the still green martial artist.
This time it would count as a loss. Overstepping her reach her Grandfather easily turned his body to cause the limb to miss his chest completely. From there he'd place his leg in front of the girl and would bring his hand down upon Hanabi's back causing her to trip up on her own momentum. Falling to the floor Hanabi would hit her nose on the wooden dojo floor. The pain was too much to get over in a moment, but she held in any tears or cries as she simply grabbed hold of her face to ease the pain.
Looking down upon her he'd say in his strong set monotonous voice, "That'll do for now Hanabi. Go clean yourself up."
It would take a while to respond but Hanabi would finally nod in silence, no bitterness was present as this defeat had been felt before. She wanted to become stronger, and that would mean having to drive herself harder than she already did. However her Grandfather had ordered them to stop and so she would obey. As she got up she'd look toward her hand to see some blood that came from her nose. She knew how to deal with this and would go into the bathroom to shower to clean off the blood and sweat on her body.
Coming out of the steamy shower she'd change into some modest black robes as she opened the door to find her Grandfather waiting at the door. This was of now surprise as she looked up to her towering elder waiting to see what he had to say.
"Come along Hanabi, we're going out for some Tea."
Nodding with a slight smile Hanabi would follow him out of the penthouse as they made there way to one of their favorite tea shops to visit.
Entering the shop Hanabi and her escort would find a seat as the two of them sat on opposite ends looking at the variety of teas avaiable of course they both would be ordered green tea as tradition held and with silence Hanabi would look toward her father and then toward the relatively quiet tea shop. She'd notice a table with some Dango served which made Hanabi salivate inside her mouth. She had never been served dango when out having tea; she was always afraid to ask her grandfather if they could order some. After all he was her elder and such a stern traditional man to boot. She figured it was not worth the instigation of asking.
