It had been another good day of practice she thought as she stretched out her legs, sitting with her back to one of the mirrored wall inside of the room where her dance lessons were held. Feeling the tension in her legs was just another relaxing part of her day. It was almost the end of her day too, which was always a good feeling. Her morning had started, like it did almost every day, at 4 am when she would get out of bed. There had been cheer practice, which had been a lot of fun, and then school, which was always interesting. After school she had gone home for just a short rest, and some dinner, where she started the nights homework, well the stuff she hadn't finished in class. It was always better to do homework in class so there was less to worry about later. Thankfully tonight she didn't have much homework so she should have some free time tonight to actually have some fun, she would still have to go to bed at a decent time. Just because homework was done early didn't mean she could stay up late, cheer practice didn't stop for much of anything.
After the tram ride to her dance class they spent the next two hours working hard. They were learning a new routine for something or another, she hadn't been listing to close when she was told. She would probably need to find that out from Hinata. Standing from her stretches she looked around for her dark haired friend, this class was actually how she had gotten to know the Hyuga so well. She did enjoy her company, even if she was a very quiet person. It was a strange friendship that they had, but it was a good thing. More friends made for more opportunities to have lots more fun memories.
Seeing her Ino skipped over to the girl her long hair bouncing back and forth with her steps stopping next to her she said “Hinata-chan! How are you? Enjoying dance?” She asked with a smile, after today's class she had noticed that Hinata might need a little help. Not that she blamed the girl, it was a lot of work and this did not seem to exactly be one of the dark haired girls strongest area. Ino considered herself lucky that she did so well in dance, not that she considered herself perfect there were a lot of things in dance she struggled with. The challenge was always a good thing which is why she continued on with this on top of everything else she made a point to do.

The light sounds of conversation periodically punctuated with delicate laughter was a welcome change from the barked instructions and whine of classical music from the strategically placed speakers that particular evening. Kneeling down, Hinata quickly slid off the worn ballet slippers, slipping them neatly into her bag before replacing them with the familiar comfort of her street shoes. She couldn’t help but let out a sigh, grateful for the padded insoles as she stood. Practice was getting harder, and while it only stood to reason that it would become more difficult the farther she went in ballet, Hinata couldn’t help but notice how she was falling bellow her usually well defined ‘adequate’.
Slinging the bag over one shoulder, she frowned. Floating around, out the in the specific somewhere, there is an old Japanese proverb that claims ”we are fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance”. It was sweet and somewhat inspirational, Hinata supposed; A pretty saying (or at least better then Hanabi’s question on whether or not people with dyslexia have trouble dancing the Y.M.C.A.). However, Hinata couldn’t help but wonder if, in all actuality, there was more to it. Or less.
Shoes firmly in place, Hinata turned for the door of the quaint dance studio, pushing thoughts of how maybe she wasn’t supposed to dance out of her head till Thursday. It was getting late, and she still had to go over her math notes, even if the idea was less then tempting. However, before she could make her escape through the glass doors, a grinning blonde bounded up to Hinata, her vibrant energy causing the darker haired girl o sub-conciously brighten.
If Yamanka Ino wasn’t her friend, Hinata half wondered if she should be jealous of the bubbly blonde. She was not the traditional yamato nadeshiko that her family put emphasis on being (or becoming), but she was just so much more... there. Pretty and tenacious on top of being the ideal ballet dancer in looks and talent.
”Hello, Ino-chan!” She greeted, a small smile pulling up at the corner of her lips. ”I am doing well, thank you.” she replied automatically, clasping her hands in front of her out of habit. ”And you?”

Ino felt her smile grow as she heard her friends voice, Hinata and her habits tended to amuse Ino. Probably because Hinata was not as formally trained as she dear friend was. That might just be why they got along though, it was the differences in people that brought them together, her friends reminded her of that every day. Some days she was astounded at her wide verity of friends, from her preppier cheer leading friends, to her volleyball teammates, and then her classmates, and people like that.
I am doing really good today! Don't have much homework, for once. I was wondering if you had time to maybe get some tea since dance is over. Just sit and catch up maybe?” She said with a smile. Hopefully she would be able to get a good chat in with Hinata. Since school had just started she was still getting back into the swing of her busy school year schedule. It was not that different from her summer schedule thought, she liked to keep busy so it was all the same for her.
While she did not have a lot of free time during the break from school, there was still more free time then she had now. Still school was a good thing, the blonde loved to be busy and sometimes during the summer she felt as if there was so much wasted time. That time was over now, and the enjoyable constant busy of the school year was back. Besides it was so much easier to manage a girls weight if she didn't have free time where she could snack. Sometimes she hated summer just because it was bad for her diet.
Pushing thoughts of summer and her diet aside she focused on Hinata and the task at hand. While waiting for her friends answer she went over the new dance steps in her head, one foot tapping along to the movements subconsciously. Sometimes she wondered why she didn't just dance as she walked, and some days she knew there was a bit of a dance in her steps. Usually on days when she had been practicing hard. Her blue eyes looked to her friend, she really did hope that she had just a little bit of free time tonight.

Tea with Ino was a tempting idea, to say the very least. The beginning of the school year was, traditionally speaking, a very busy time. Between getting ready for school, school actually starting back up again, and practices (which always seemed to pick up in intensity for the slew of fall recitals before immediately launching into winter festivities and their coordinating shows for the season). Thus down time, to sit and sip at a hot beverage and chat with a friend at a leisurely pace in a comfortable setting that more likely then not will be playing new age jazz.... It sounded too perfect to pass up, and much like how she would fantasies spending her college slash early twenties.... Well, at least how she liked to imagine it before the weight of reality smashed her upside the head, as it was wont to do.
Nibbling on her lip, Hinata nodded her head slowly before saying her verbal consent with a simple "I would like that." her mind caught on the idea of her waiting homework. She didn't have much, she found herself reasoning with her own conscious, pushing aside the slight twinge of guilt. Going over notes, even if they were math (her worst subject) notes, didn't take long on her worst days. A quick run through before she went to bed should be plenty.... knock on wood.
Shifting the bag, adjusting the straps on her shoulder in a smooth movement, Hinata tilted her head to the side, asking "Do you have a place in mind?" as she mentally went over what she knew of the near by neighborhoods, which, was surprisingly little when one considered that she had been attending the dance school since she was a little girl. However, this really was not her 'neck of the woods', it partially made sense. "... I think there is that place a few blocks down...." she went on, slightly hesitant as she tried to recall the location of the cafe.
