"You're on, Sakura-chan," Naruto exclaimed with a glint in his eye as he pushed his shopping cart away from the bakery floor-turned-battleground, not even batting an eye as it crashed into an endcap display. Oh no, there were much more important things at stake... like his pride.
Now, Naruto didn't have any fancy fencing or footwork training like some of his friends did, but really, how hard was it to hit someone with a long, hard object? What he did have were strategies from doing this very sort of thing with sticks out on the playground as a child, and way too much enthusiasm for a seventeen year old guy playing swordfight in the middle of a grocery store. But anyone who know Naruto knew that once he took something seriously, he was far too thick-headed and stubborn to back down, regardless of the appropriateness of the location at hand.
"HAH!" Taking a few quick steps forward, he lunged at the pink-haired girl, swatting at her with his baguette before retreating and diving behind a display of cookies and muffins. The original point and goal of the trip had been completely forgotten; the only thing that mattered now was the fight.
If only he could have this level of determination and concentration when it came to school work.
Sakura had barricaded herself behind her cart, beaning that if he tried to full-on attack her again, he would be hit first, and that simply would not do. But how could he get her out of her little turtle shell fortification? He glanced around, finally noticing a clear plastic bin filled with dinner rolls. Ah, perfect.
He barrel-rolled over to the bin, pulling the lid up and grabbing one, lobbing it over at the pink-haired girl's shopping-cart hideout, before pulling another one out and repeating the process. "How you like that, huh?!"
